We also LOVED Red Oaks. We just finished “Outer Range” on Prime. (2 seasons so far). It involves a cattle rancher in Wyoming. A large, round hole appears on a remote part of the ranch. The hole may or may not involve time travel. It features Josh Brolin, Lili Taylor (remember her? Mystic Pizza—but she has been working steadily all these years) and Lewis Pullman (Cal from Lessons in Chemistry).
Also have to shout out Resident Alien, Mrs. Davis, Slow Horses, The Leftovers and Counterpart. All not Jewish but excellent TV.
Thank you for that Instagram alert re: Jewish Country Clubs. Will have to scroll to see if they review the few I'v e been to.
We are watching Disclaimer, just the first two episodes so far. Eventually we'll find our way back to Bad Monkey, it was fun but not a must see. We'll add Red Oaks to the list, still need to watch Lady in the Lake too.
You have got to watch the British u-tube show about finding lost families. Could be finding siblings they didn’t know they had or finding a lost parent. It’s wonderful. They do 2 or 3 an hour, but it’s not really an hour, because no commercials.
I’ve really been enjoying Doctor Odyssey on Hulu. It’s about a small medical team working on a cruise ship. Plenty of drama and bizarre medical cases, but it works because they’re in a bizarre situation. Was also going to recommend A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder.
Little Mosque on the Prairie on Amazon. It's definitely not Jewish, but then again, it's about a minority relgious community dealing with balancing their traditions and modernity, particularly in a small town. Plus the bromance between the imam and the priest is adorable!
You can see my 8-part documentary series on the history and contribution of South African Jews titled 'Legends & Legacies' on IZZY TV internationally, and on Prime Video only to Africa.
My Best Friend. Elana Ferrante Neapolitan Quartet. True masterpiece of a series.
Death in Paradise
Doc Martin
Sorry to hear you got sick! TV is the best medicine. Our Yom Kippur and day after binge was “A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder”
I really need to check it out!! I keep getting recommendations for it!
Lincoln Lawyer is great!’

We just watched the 2024 Rock N Roll Induction Ceremony on Disney +. Totally awesome!
Loved Red Oaks and so did all my friends.
Honestly surprised at how much I like it!!

"Inventing Anna" on Netflex......It really roped me in and I cannot wait to see all the espisodes
Starring the brilliant half-Israeli Julia Garner! Love her! I need to check it out!
I loved the show “Space Force”—I think that it was from Netflix. Wish that it had been picked up for a third season. 😕
I knoooow, I'm sad about it too. It had the best cast!
