I thought of this site the entire time i watched the show. I caught each reference as well with my beady little eyes & ears. Loved it. This wasn't deep but Lisa was great. I was an easy watch and would love to see the characters again (except for the rich clowns across the street). For sure bring back the 'intergenerational' family as they were termed in the show. Oh, you mean the black family?
As ever, I love your hot takes on Jewish TV content. I did not watch "Dead to Me" but my H and daughter did and LOVED. So now I will watch this show. Also, I think it's bashert that this arrived in my inbox today, when I was wondering what show I could agree on watching with the aforementioned H. Thanks!
I do have to say that I always wonder whether Jews on TV have to specifically be named "Jews" or identify as such. I personally think "no" and certainly don't want another angsty discussion a la "Nobody Wants This" but on the other hand, the speculation and "clues" are fun.

Teyonah Parris won me over in this show and Anna Maria Horsford was HILARIOUS. Yes, I need to know what happens to Dennis after he cashed that check!!
Linda Lavin, not Levin!
My errant typing fingers meant no disrespect to the great Linda LAVIN!! She is Jewish royalty.
Where is this available to watch?
Um,. did you say grieving mom? That's kind of a spoiler, no?
who is she grieving?? we don't know!! i won't tell!!

I like it too. A lot of us don't actually call out that we're Jewish in day-to-day interactions, so that's realistic.
I watch several episodes and loved it. Can't wait to find out what happens.
You're in for a wild ride!! Hope you love it!
