I LOVE Fauda, and find Doron very sexy, even though he is short and somewhat chubby. The women fall for him because he radiates an empathy that is irresistible. Tehran is also very well done and enjoyable. Both shows seem prescient, since so many seemingly improbable plot points actually happened!!!
Fauda is a show that once you start watching you will binge on it .The plot and writing is superb and when I read about hostages being rescued from inside Hamas held portions of Gaza it was like a live replay of a certain Fauda plot line . Doron is a great character and at the end of the last episode I was left wondering if a sequel was possible .
Shistel is also a fabulous show and is a very authentic portrayal of Charedi life
I worry that its way too soon to do a Fauda season that directly addresses October 7th, but in general I don't trust Israeli tv when they say a new season is coming until it actually exists and is being aired. Tbh, I never finished the most recent season of Fauda, I got tired of Raz's character and the way women were written generally on the show frustrated me, that gorgeous young women of all backgrounds always fell head over heels for Doron to their doom got increasingly improbable as the seasons progressed (and as Doron became more surly and unstable, like I never understood what they all saw in him!). I usually found the side characters more compelling and would be willing to give it another season a shot if Raz took a step back from being the lead and let some of the others be the focus
He does have such a James Bond complex!! I'm not a huge "Fauda" fan myself but I do believe that they are working on this season and that it will happen, though I doubt it will be before late 2025? An Israeli scripted TV show about October 7, "One Day In October" / "Red Dawn" premiered in Israel on the one year anniversary and I definitely had this feeling of TOO SOON. So maybe by the time this goes into production/actually airs it won't feel that way?

I was watching Lior Raz on the red carpet for "Gladiator II" last week and he is so charming and so effusive in those interviews so I totally get it.

Love both shows and so glad they’re returning. Acting is excellent.
