As a Jewish woman I am honored to be represented in Nobody Wants This!!!! Frankly, I see a lot of myself and friends exhibiting those characteristics and find it relatable and charming -- I have often been accused of being too sensitive when calling out Jewish tropes and stereotypes but this show was obviously written with love compassion and understanding.
I loved Miss Fine! I was so pleased she found her man. I was having such a hard time finding a Jewish partner in the 80’s that when I reconnected with a non Jewish man I knew in my childhood, who said he had no faith of his own in which to believe, loved me and wanted to be Jewish, I thought it would be a perfect match. And it was! We had a wonderful child, whom we both raised as Jewish, celebrated every Jewish holiday and her beautiful Bat Mitzvah, but I realized ultimately that unless you are raised Jewish, you don’t inherently understand the nuances and culture, vernacular and importance of each holiday in the same way. This is a huge disconnect. And although I love my husband and we are happily together 36 years later, I do miss what could have been had I married a partner Jewish by birth.
Fran Fine's wardrobe was a character in itself! Her clothes were showstoppers! Her mother stole every scene she was in!! There were small incidents only a Jew would get such as when Fran and her mom were in temple and her mom tells her she is excited about being first on the wait list for front high holy day seats!
I have been married 3 times. The first 2 were gentiles. While I met my first (the father of my children) on an Israeli kibbutz, they were both rotten husband's (although #1 was a great father). My 3rd, and current husband is Jewish. He is the love of my life, and I 've never been happier.

I thought denigrating Jewish women were bygone days, but I guess I was wrong

believe me; I married a Jewish man and it was no picnic.. He was not very spirtual in the Jewish sense and it ruined my life.

Jewish boys make the best husbands. Gentile girls know that!
